This always makes for an interesting and hilarious conversation any day and anytime. Quite frankly, all we have about this event is just these conversations we have and hearsays. There’s also the occasional news feature online that claims such has happened. Anyway, people can really get stuck during sex. At least, on paper. In fact, the medical name for this condition is known as Penis Captivus.
Virtually all of what we know about Penis Captivus is theoretical and there’s little to go by on practical knowledge. Basically, it’s very rare, however, possible. We do know how it could happen. If it happens a bit more often than we think then it’s probably because couples can actually get disconnected eventually. Of course, they’d never report such an incident. Let’s see how Penis Captivus can actually happen.
During vaginal penetration, the penis is erect and engorged. The vagina walls contract and expands to accommodate the male organ all adding up to the pleasurable experience. We do know that the vagina can actually contract more tightly than normal on some occasions. This is possible in the condition, vaginismus. Vaginismus is a strict contraction of the vagina’s muscles that is so strong, the vagina essentially closes itself. If this happens during sex, there’s no saying that getting stuck is an impossibility.
Now, if this happens, what do we expect? Well, at that point sexual activity has definitely ceased. In time, the penile erection should ease up allowing the organ to slip out of the awkward position. It’s probably never going to happen to you, but if you ever find yourself in this situation, ‘calm’ does it. You really don’t want to forcibly remove a stuck erect penis. A few deep breaths and relaxation should allow blood drain from the penis and free the organ
What if things don’t get better? The next step is to seek urgent medical attention. It’s an undoubtedly embarrassing situation but such a position is equally uncomfortable. Injecting muscle relaxants into the individuals involved should take care of the problem.
Couples who have encountered this situation before should do well to see a doctor, especially a woman as this could be due to vaginismus of problems with blood flow.
